This post begins a new category on my blog. When possible (that is, when we have internet access) I will post a photograph shot on the day of that posting. Usually, the image will have been taken on my iPhone, rather than my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150, since the distance between photographing to posting is shorter, quicker. This will show you a little of where we are as opposed to where we have been. Comments welcomed.
Below is the view from our campsite:
And a quote from Rumi:
“Christian, Jew, Muslim, shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the mystery, unique and not to be judged.”

It is both lush and desert-like. Apparently greener this year than usual. Bison, wild horses and a prairie rattler! Today we hiked to a petrified forest of ancient stumps.

This one of our more beautiful settings for a campsite. I feel like I could sit by the river all day, just watch it slowing flow by, listen to birdsong, let the sunlight fade.
